Musez is built to give you the richest possible art experience while collecting only the data we genuinely need. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and what we never do with it.

2. Information We Collect

We collect only what is necessary to operate the service:

  • Your email address or Google account details (for authentication via Clerk)
  • Your approximate location (to surface nearby museums and exhibitions)
  • Images you choose to upload for AI artwork analysis
  • In-app usage data to improve features and performance

3. AI Image Processing

When you use the Snap AI feature, images are sent securely to our AI provider (Google Gemini) for analysis. Images are processed temporarily and are not permanently stored by our AI providers. We do not use your uploaded content to train AI models without explicit consent.

4. Location Data

Musez requests your location to show nearby museums and exhibitions. Location data is used in real time for discovery features and is not stored beyond the active session unless you explicitly save a location.

5. What We Never Do

  • We never sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties
  • We never serve ads based on your usage or uploaded images
  • We never build advertising profiles from your data
  • We never store artwork images beyond what is needed for analysis

6. Third-Party Services

Musez uses the following third-party services:

  • Clerk — Secure authentication. Subject to their privacy policy.
  • Convex — Backend data storage. Encrypted data only.
  • Google Gemini — AI artwork analysis. Subject to Google's privacy policy.
  • Google Maps — Museum discovery and mapping features.
  • RevenueCat — In-app purchase management for Pro subscriptions.

7. Children's Privacy

Musez is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us immediately.

8. Your Rights

You can request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by contacting us. We will process your request within 30 days.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via the App or email.
